प्रवेशिका परीक्षा दिँदा दिँदै १० वर्ष जनयुद्धमा होमिएकि रेणु दाहालले नेपाली महिला आन्दोलनमा एउटा नयाँ आयाम थपेकि छिन्, अब अर्काे चुनाैती माेल्दैछिन महानगरपालिकाको पहिलो महिला मेयरमा निर्वाचित भएर ।
शनिवार सम्पन्न मतगणनामा उनले नेकपा एमालेका प्रत्याशी देवी ज्ञवालीलाई २०२ मतले पराजित गर्दै विजय सुनिश्चित गरेकी हुन ।
यसअघि नेकपा माओवादबिाट संविधानसभामा समानुपातिक सांसद पनि भएकि दाहालले अब भरतपुरलाई कस्तो बनाउन भुमीका खेल्ने हो भन्ने सर्वत्र चासो हुनु स्वभाविक हो । सांगठनिक नेतृत्वको दृष्टिले पार्टीबाट काठमाडौँ जिल्ला सेक्रेटरीको भूमिका , अनेमसङ्घ क्रान्तिकारीको महासचिव, पोलिटब्यूरो सदस्यको अनुभव रेणु संग छ ।
रेणु दाहालको महानगरकाे मेयरमा जित पनि जनयुद्ध भन्दा कम्तिको रहेन भनेर सामाजिक सञ्जालमा टिप्पणीहरु भैरहेका छन् । दाहालसँग पराजित उम्मेदवार देवी ज्ञवालीको पार्टी नेकपा एमालेले पुनःमतदान गराउने विषयको चर्को आलोचना मात्र गरेको थिएन पुनः मतदान गराउन नै माओवादी केन्द्रका प्रतिनिधिहरुले ‘षड्यन्त्रपूर्वक’ मतपत्र च्यातेको आरोप लगाएको थियो ।
पुषपकमल दाहालकै छोरी भएका कारण भरतपुरमा प्रमुख पदमा उनले उम्मेदवारी पाएको भन्नेहरुलाई आफ्नो कामद्वारा जवाफ दिने चुनौती चिर्ने रेणुका योजनाहरु चाहीँ कस्त छन् त ?
दाहालले भरतपुरलाई देशकै नमुना समार्ट सिटी बनाउने सपना देखाएकी छिन् । चितवन आसपासका क्षेत्रलाई समेटेर देशकै बैकल्पिक राजधानी बनाउन पहल गर्ने दाहालको प्रतिबद्धता छ ।
भरतपुर महानगरका सवै सडक कालोपत्रे, भित्रि र बाहिरी चक्रपथ निर्माण,सवै विद्यालयको भौतिक सुधार, निशुल्क स्वास्थ्य सेवासहित महानगरका सवै वडामा १५ शैयाको अस्पताल निर्माण, शहरीकरण तथा सरसफाई, सुचना प्रविधिको विकास ,खेल क्षेत्रमा आमुल परिवर्तन लगायतका प्रतिवद्धता रहेका छन् ।
